Do you Travel?
Yes! I do not charge a travel fee for towns nearby.
How will I get my photos and do you have a limit?
Photos will be delivered through an online gallery on this website. Once photos are done you will be sent a direct link to your personal gallery and then will be able to view and download from there.
There is a photo limit implemented. The number of photos is largely based on the type of session and number of people. Having a photo limit also ensures you get the best possible images back instead a jumble of near duplicates. I believe in quality over quantity!
Important information.
1. All images are copyright of Portraits by Taylor. (are my property unless you purchase the rights to them) and therefore should not be altered in any way ; such as applying a filter on instagram and etc. Think of it as paying to watch a movie. You will pay but you do not in turn own the film. When you pay for a session you are paying for my creative skill, time and my permission to use the images. Photographer owns all creative works/images. Also, editing is very time consuming and takes away from my personal time with my family and kids, so please do not book with me if you intend to change the photos. I will address this if it comes to my attention.
2. When given a session time, be there before that time. The given time is the start time not a suggestion on when to arrive. Early is best!
3. Wear solid colors or subtle designs. Busy prints and designs can be distracting and so can bright colors. I also do not recommend every person wearing the exact same clothing/color as it makes everyone blend together and takes away from the beauty potential of the photos. Complimentary colors are best.
4. Be a team player and be ready to go! I'll do my best to make it fun, but your cooperation and communication is key!
5. Preparing for a session is simple if you give yourself enough time. Before booking you should be prepared to pay a deposit and try to have an idea on what you'd like to wear based on what your session is for (I am happy to help you expand on ideas!). Keep in mind it is a team effort and I appreciate when clients contribute to conversations about what they do or don't want and ideas instead of me having to guess blindly. Also, keep in mind you're speaking with a business not a friend so please keep the abbreviated text and slang to a minimum!
6. I do basic photoshop enhancements to photos such as reducing blemishes, whiten teeth, removing stray hairs and other small things that I may feel are necessary.

7. I am not responsible for your children's and/or spouses cooperation during a session. I will do my best to make everyone happy, capture genuine smiles and can make reasonable alterations to images, but I will not photoshop smiles onto anyone if they simply will not smile. If anyone refuses to cooperate during the session I promise I am patient and will do what I can, but a refund will not be issued for lack of smiles/satisfactory photos upon gallery delivery as this is out of my control.
8. Deposits are non-refundable. I am making a commitment of my time to you and expect the same in return. Weather can change quickly so I do keep my eye on it prior to a session. In the event the weather is not suitable I will contact the client to reschedule or client may contact me. If rescheduling occurs for any reason outside of weather a new deposit will not be required if I am notified 4-7 days prior to the scheduled session. A $15.00 rescheduling fee will be applied if rescheduled if 1-3 days prior to the scheduled session. A rescheduling fee does not apply in the event the photographer needs to reschedule (we're only human too!). If you cancel your session instead of rescheduling the deposit will be deemed non-transferrable. This is because there may not be enough time for me to rebook the spot you'd taken and therefore a loss in profit and ability to help another client who may have wanted that same date. If you insist on a refund it can be given, but you will not be able to book again in the future.
9. I tend to keep galleries up on my website for a while, but do not rely on this and be sure to download your gallery ASAP. Once the gallery is delivered my obligation is complete. My website is only a means to deliver galleries and display my work, not hold onto photos indefinitely. Galleries may be removed at any time beginning 3 months from date of delivery. It is important to remember that if you download them but for some reason lose the photos I cannot guarantee recovery of the photos. Save in multiple places!
